It is funny how we get stuck in certain mindsets sometimes. It is easy to keep following the same path every day and wear in the ground we cover like deep ruts in a dirt road.
Sometimes we hear or see things that make us reconsider our paradigm. Things that go deep into our hearts and cause us to rethink what we are doing.
I have been reading the Art of Photography by Bruce Barnbaum. It is a wonderful book that delves deeper into photography and promises to really challenge me to get better with my art. In the section on composition he quotes Edward Weston who said that the best composition is “the strongest way of seeing”.
It is amazing, but those few words have had a profound impact on me. I hope it shows in my future work. What a fantastic life doing this thing we call photogarphy! It is the most challenging thing I have ever attempted, mostly because success can be so subjective.
Stay tuned… I have a lot of recent work to catch up on blogging with ☺
