We had another chance to shoot with Yulia Zakomornya yesterday. This time the theme was a 1940’s movie star look. (Yulia’s Model Mayhem number is 2360110 if you would like to see more of her work)
For research we looked through Yahoo Images for names like Lauren Bacall. Gene Tierney and Ava Gardner. We also found a great site for photos and fashions from that time (1940s.org). It is fun to look back at how different the photography of movie stars was then. What a fun era.
So Kathi found a Jessica McClintock evening dress at a thrift shop along with a broach that would look the part and we were on our way. Yulia has a great look, great completion and a fun attitude. We hope to work again sometime with her.
