Augusta Lee Collins on the docks in Alameda

Augusta Lee Collins is is the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame and is a great friend of mine too! When I said I wanted to do a film portrait with the 4 x 5 view camera I borrowed he was immediately willing to help.

I had the shot in mind and wanted it to be down by the water. We ended up down at the Alameda docks where the USS Hornet is docked. That provided great backdrops and the light worked out great.

The first image is 4 x 5 B&W film and the other two are digital images. I limited myself to one light, sunlight, and utilized a reflector for fill.
